Terms & Conditions
I understand that the BIGFOOT HomeGuard CHECK-IN service is a peace-of-mind convenience service that obviates my personal need to travel to check-in on my home in Vermont. The check-in performed by BIGFOOT HomeGuard will emulate in thoroughness the inspection I would undertake were I personally conducting it myself. I understand BIGFOOT HomeGuard cannot know what I have not informed them of and therefore I endeavor to provide via a pre-arranged appointment thorough instruction to BIGFOOT HomeGuard on the facilities within my home that I wish to be checked in my absence.
I understand that BIGFOOT HomeGuard takes up to 90 minutes to complete a scheduled check-in. The $85 fixed price per-visit charge covers the full and complete assessment of my property as outlined by me and includes travel time and fuel.
I understand that BIGFOOT HomeGuard are not master tradesmen in their own right but will call the master tradesmen I designate in the event of an electrical, plumbing or heating emergency to make the necessary repairs. It will be my responsibility as the homeowner to arrange for access of any tradesmen commissioned to make repairs, and my responsibility to pay for said repairs.
I understand that in the event of an unlawful breach of my home by an unknown party for the purpose of vandalism, wrongful habitation or robbery that I will be duly notified by BIGFOOT HomeGuard during the scheduled check-in and I will be responsible for contacting the appropriate authorities and arranging for their access to my property.
I understand that by utilizing BIGFOOT HomeGuard to provide access to tradesmen or law enforcement that this will incur additional CHECK-IN charges at the rate of $85 per 90 minute segment.
I understand that photo documentation of each check-in will be made and retained by BIGFOOT HomeGuard as a record of the service completed and may be requested by me to confirm such or for perusal in the event of anomalies that may be useful in the case of a security breach or heating/plumbing/electrical systems failure.
I understand that the BIGFOOT HomeGuard Light Cleaning is a convenience service to prepare my Vermont home for either my return or in the event my property has been rented out as a vacation rental. I understand this service is not a "deep clean" nor can it be utilized in the event of damage to my property either by vacationers or any other unforeseen events of vandalism, robbery, acts of God or Nature. I understand that in the event of damage I can communicate by phone with BIGFOOT HomeGuard following a scheduled check-in to determine a solution.

- I understand that the BIGFOOT HomeGuard CHECK-IN service will verify that my heating, electrical and plumbing systems are in working condition and functioning according to the settings I established prior to my departure.
- I understand that BIGFOOT HomeGuard also checks and restores the rodent traps and pest deterrents I personally implemented prior to my departure.
- I understand that BIGFOOT HomeGuard checks the general security of my property verifying doors and windows are secured and any installed alarm system is functional according to the settings I established prior to my departure.
- I understand I will receive a text and or call immediately prior to this service being completed by BIGFOOT HomeGuard to confirm everything is correct and to report any issues that may have arisen.
